Nintendo has shared this morning that a new Nintendo Direct will be airing on Wednesday, September 13, at 3 p.m. PT or 6 p.m. ET.
The Direct is set to offer details on games headed to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS over the upcoming months, with new details about the much anticipated Super Mario Odyssey due for release on October 27. The Direct is stated to be nearly 45 minutes long, almost twice as long as Nintendo’s E3 showing, so it remains to be seen what Nintendo will be devoting the rest of the time to, apart from the confirmed coverage of Super Mario Odyssey.
Could we be getting official release dates for Skyrim, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, or Rocket League? Perhaps more details about the Ballad of Champions DLC for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or the upcoming return to Alola with Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon? Nintendo stated that the Direct will be “mainly focused” on what’s headed to Switch and 3DS over the next few months, which is an interesting and possible telling choice of words. What other sorts of topics or surprises could there be to discuss? Be sure to tune in to Nintendo’s live YouTube or Twitch streams to find out.
